Mission…
We are commissioned to be a modern-day “book of Acts” Church operating in the restorative power of God. A beautiful mosaic of people who understand that our strength lies within our differences. Having one common goal, The Citadel of Restoration serves as a fortress that commands a city to restoration…hence making it “The Place Where You Can Begin Again”.
Vision…
To be an apostolic community of faith in message, method, and ministry.
(e)volve: The message evolves your life. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of change. It changes who you are, why you are, and how you are. The apostolic message will evolve any person into a fully devoted follower of Christ.
(re)volve: Our methods as an apostolic community of faith will revolve around the methods of the book of Acts. Our practices and principles will revolve around their practices and principles. As we do what they did, we will experience what they experienced. We will give, live, and love in the same manner as the first New Testament Church.
(in)volve: Involve yourself in the life of the Citadel of Restoration through serving. Our vision takes life when people involve themselves in its functions, formulas, and formats. After the evolution, past the revolution, involvement is the key to the vision.
Values…
- Citadel of Restoration is a FAMILY, not an ORGANIZATION or a BUSINESS
- Elders in plurality (Acts 20:17) direct the affairs of this family (1 Timothy 5:17). In this New Testament model or “wineskin”, Deacons assist the Elders in caring for and growing the family. (Acts 6:1-7)
- The Bible plus nothing, the Bible minus nothing holds the Kingdom values that this family lives by.
- In this family, EVERY member has value and is a New Testament Priest, and this “priesthood” is lived out in 2 ways:
- Ministry to the Lord – Offering DAILY Spiritual Sacrifices
- Ministry to Mankind – Reconciling man to God
- This family values “friendship before function”. People’s worth comes from who they are in Christ, not what they do. (1 John 4:7)
- This family operates with the proper foundation (Apostolic / Prophetic – Ephesians 2:20) and in relationship with an Apostolic Team (Ephesians 4:11) that take the Commission to “GO” into all the world and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19) seriously.
