In 2003, God placed it in the heart of our leader that at the appointed time, He would birth a modern-day “Book of Acts” Church; a 21^st century church, operating in the 1^st century power of Jesus Christ.  Clearly, the true church is made up of living stones, therefore the place where the church gathers, would be known as the Citadel of Restoration – a fortress that commands a city to be restored…hence making it “The Place Where You Can Begin Again”.

Not knowing the appointed time of the fulfillment, Elder Chism remained faithful and dedicated to his home church, while seeking the Lord continually for His direction and agenda for the ministry.  In 2008, five years later, the Lord made it clear that it was time to move from the promise into manifestation. With the spiritual guidance of his spiritual father; Apostle Floyd E. Nelson, Sr. and many other leaders in the faith, Elder Chism postured himself in prayer for when and where to launch the ministry.

During a 40 day fast, the Lord assured Elder Chism that there will be provision for the vision, and that 2009 will be the YEAR OF UNBELIEVABLE FAVOR! The Lord led him to begin the ministry in Montgomery County, Maryland.  In January 2009, we acquired our current worship facility to house the ministry.

On Sunday, April 5, 2009, the church gathered for the first service at the Citadel of Restoration. We are living under UNBELIEVABLE FAVOR of blessings and miracles. This is just the beginning for this modern day “Book of Acts” community of faith. As we continue to do what they did, we will experience what they experienced. Our message of restoration will always be – It’s never too late to begin again. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”.

Restoration continues…This history is incomplete because God is still writing this story!
